About me
A steady hand for life's daily details

Hello, I'm Dana Tuttle
I worked as a caregiver early in my career, trained as a physician, and then ran large teams and budgets as a biotech project manager. Later, I transitioned to become a nonprofit founder and fundraiser. Now, my work is dedicated to supporting seniors to live more fully. I'm good at diving into the details and zooming out to see the big picture.
I started Anchor & Ally because too many older adults wanted to age in place but were quietly struggling with life's administrative details: paperwork, appointments, confusing statements, and financial worry — especially without family nearby to help. My promise is simple: patient, respectful help, at your pace, always with your goals and your independence in mind.
In addition to helping seniors with administrative tasks, I love being a thought partner and sounding board for what matters to you. I live in Mill Valley with my husband, teenage son, and wild dog. You might see me on the Mt. Tam trails, hanging out at the Depot, or speaking at a Toastmasters meeting.
I'm a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) and fully insured. I follow a strict code of ethics: your information stays confidential, your money stays yours, and every action I take on your behalf is one you've agreed to.

The relationship that started it all
Ben Parker
I met Ben at a Toastmasters meeting — he was 97! His goal was to live independently at home — which he did until his final age of 102.
A few examples of the details that mattered
- We followed up and resolved an unexpected $3,000 hospital bill. The secondary insurance had not been included in the claim.
- A government stimulus check of more than $1,000 came on a prepaid debit card that looked like junk mail. Luckily we called for more information.
- We discovered together that he had long accumulated more than $1,500 in credit card points that could be turned into cash.
He is my inspiration to help you.
